Not a single sentence and not a single word have been published on my blog SINCE August 8! Is blogging no longer one of my favorite occupations? The answer is both yes and no. Blogging has certainly not been on my priority list during the past weeks, because so many other things were more important: excursions with students to Les Eyzies in France and to the Silurian reefs of Gotland, a meeting in the UK with the RESET steering group, attending this year’s conference of the European Society for the Study of Human Evolution in Bordeaux (to keep updated for next term’s evening course), teaching a new course in geology for first year students in the biogeo-line, and administration and meetings. So, there was no time for blogs, although I was several times close to writing one, which shows that I have still not given up on it!
And in less than six weeks, I will be back in Thailand for more fieldwork. And most exciting will be a trip to Burma in early December on invitation of the Geological Society of Myanmar. We will discuss future collaboration, and may visit some of Myanmar’s lakes, which look really interesting.Blogging from inside Myanmar will be a must, provided internet connections are available!
