Cold, colder, ice cold – when will this winter finally come to an end? Not so soon obviously, because even colder temperatures and more snow are to be expected. I like winter and snow and I especially like sunny winter days which make it so much easier to endure the darkness. But I certainly don’t like to walk the icy and slippery sidewalks … it is especially tricky, because the ice has been completely removed at some places, but is left at others. So it is easy to walk for a couple of meters, then the ice-covered part starts again, then maybe some ice free meters, more ice, ice free, and so on. It needs actually deep concentration and eyes fixed to the ground to manage a safe walk from the subway back home.
